Helo Landing

I am trying to get a helicopter to land on the observation tower/helo pad. I am using a waypoint and an area trigger:

Event 21: Slow helo down
Triggers:
SSN 12 has reached waypoint 9, 3
Actions:
Change SSN 12 AI : patrol speed = 10 km/h

Event 22: Slow helo down
Triggers:
SSN 12 has reached waypoint 9, 4
Actions:
Change SSN 12 AI : patrol speed = 0 km/h

Event 23: helo lands
Triggers:
SSN 12 is within area 8
Actions:
Change SSN 12 AI : AI state to Land

My issue is this; the helicopter descends and hits the landing pad but then bounces 10 meters up into the air and just hovers.

You can only use the 'Land' if you had previously used 'Pretty' when the helo took off. With that said, the 'land' and 'pretty' commands are not very dependable in COOPS. More times that not the helo will touch down and lift off immediately or not touch down at all.

If you have the helo landing with the intent to have it continue on, its best to set up a different waypoint list for it to follow.

If waypoint 4 is the point where you want the helo to land, make it the last waypoint in that list. Be sure the waypoint is flush with the helo pad and eliminate event 23 altogether. When the helo reaches that waypoint, it will stop. If the helo is to continue on, send it to a different waypoint list like I said earlier.
