Scary I use CCleaner on my WinXP computer. Good program. From what I could see in the post the version affected was an older version than I have.

Just a side note, 2 tablets at my wife's office had the infected ccleaner version on them. Neither tablet had been updated or used since September 12th because they are backups for other tablets.
Yesterday I updated Windows Defender and ran the Quick virus check and Defender not only identified the malware but also removed the malware and ccleaner from the tablets.
I was very surprised and impressed with Defender's abilities!
